Knuckle Five

What is a knuckle five?  You probably know what it is, but not what I call it.  Also known as a “fist bump”, a knuckle five is a “high five” done with your knuckles.  Although, I really love high fives, knuckle fives can be more comfortable in some situations.  I’m very conservative, so the knuckle five actually makes me feel a little bit hipper than I really am.  When I was driving my young daughter in the car, she couldn’t give me a high five strapped in the baby seat in the back, but she could reach out her foot and give me a “foot five”.  The knuckle five because the logical extension.

My last two companies were called “Extreme Programing” because I loved extreme sports and computer programmer.  The next company was called “Premium Programming” which was named by Patrick Oborn as the Custom Programming team in charge of the “Premium Websites” which was some software which I helped develop at Telarus.  Over the years, I’ve actually done quite a few things other than Programming, so wanted to have a name which did not have the word programming in it.  I also wanted the name to be triumphant like the fist bump, and the name was available.
At knuckle five, I use my expert skills as a computer programmer, to help people integrate third party services and in some cases, do custom programming.  I am constantly learning to stay on top of the latest internet services, social media conventions, cloud computing services, and mobile app development.
