California Privacy Notice (CCPA)

Overview

This notice supplements the Privacy Policy and applies to California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the "CCPA"). It describes the categories of personal information collected on aaronjaylev.com (the "Site"), why it is collected, and the rights you have over it.

The Site does not collect personal information through forms, accounts, or purchases.

Sources and Purposes

Personal information is collected directly from you when you email me, and automatically from your browser through Google Analytics and standard server logs. It is used to measure and improve the Site and to respond to your messages. It is not used to build profiles for advertising.

Sale and Sharing

I do not sell personal information, and I do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. I have not sold or shared personal information of consumers under 16 years of age. Because the Site does not sell or share personal information, the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" opt-out does not apply to it.

Disclosures to Service Providers

Personal information is disclosed to the following service providers, which process it on my behalf:

  • Google, for Google Analytics and Google Fonts.
  • The Site's web hosting provider, which keeps standard server logs.

Retention

Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings in Google Analytics. Email correspondence is kept only as long as needed to respond to you.

Your Rights

As a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected about you.
  • Delete personal information collected about you, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. (The Site does not sell or share it.)
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information. (The Site does not collect it.)
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

How to Submit a Request

Send your request by email to hello@aaronjaylev.com with the subject line "CCPA Request" and the type of request you are making (know, delete, or correct). I may ask you to confirm your identity before I act on a request, and I will respond within 45 days. If more time is needed, I will tell you why and how long it will take.

You may also use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. I may ask the agent for proof of authorization and may ask you to verify your identity directly.

I may update this notice from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it was last changed.
